The selection procedure to shortlist the candidates for the Gramin Dak Sevak post is quite simple. The selection will be based on the automatically generated merit list on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in their 10th class. To make the selection procedure more transparent and more reliable, the authority follows 4 decimals accuracy for shortlisting the candidates. Though the marks secured by the candidates in the 10th class are the main concern, the authority follows certain norms.
- The authority will only take into consideration the 10th standard marks to prepare the merit list. Though candidates with higher qualifications can apply for the post, their qualification won’t be considered by the board except for the 10th
- If there has been a tie due to same marks, the positions will be placed in the merit list based on the higher age, ST Female, SC Female, OBC Female, UR Female, ST Male, OBC male and UR male.
